What You'll Taste

We begin our journey in Warsaw’s Old Town - a place that looks centuries old, but is actually one of the most extraordinary reconstructions in the world. Almost completely destroyed during World War II, it was rebuilt brick by brick, using paintings by Canaletto and old photographs as guides. Today, it stands as a symbol of resilience, creativity, and pride.&nbsp;The Old Town has always been the heart of Warsaw. This was where royal processions passed on their way to the castle, where merchants gathered on the Market Square, and where travelers stopped to eat, trade, and share news from across Europe. At its center stands the Royal Castle, once the seat of Polish kings and the stage for some of the country’s most important historical moments. Around it, cafés and restaurants fill the same streets where nobles once rode their carriages and street performers entertained crowds. It’s living history - elegant, proud, and full of energy.&nbsp;From there, we make our way toward the area that once formed part of the Jewish Ghetto. Before the war, Warsaw was home to one of the largest Jewish communities in the world - more than 350,000 people. It was a city within a city, full of life, music, learning, and trade.&nbsp;&nbsp;Warsaw isn’t just a capital; it’s a survivor, a city that’s been torn down and rebuilt more than once, each time stronger and more alive. Today, its streets are lined with modern art galleries, cozy bars, craft beer cellars, and traditional eateries serving family recipes passed down for generations.&nbsp;By the time we reach the Market Square, with the mermaid statue watching over it, you’ll see how Warsaw holds its contrasts proudly - royal and raw, tragic and joyful, historic and modern all at once. Here, the spirit of old Poland meets the rhythm of the new one. And somewhere between a bite of pierogi and a sip of local beer, you’ll feel what the locals know: this city may have been rebuilt, but its soul never left.
