Our journey begins in the heart of Piazza della Vittoria, surrounded by three charming hotels and offering one of the most breathtaking views of the coast.
We’ll start by strolling through the cobbled streets of the old town, exploring its artisan shops and ancient eateries. Our first bite will be the delicious Potato Gateau as we meander through narrow streets leading to the scenic Villa Comunale, a small park with beautifully manicured gardens overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean Sea.
Next, we’ll discover the connection between the legendary Caruso, Lucio Dalla, and Sorrento at a family-run trattoria that’s been passed down for three generations. Here, you’ll savor two iconic Sorrento dishes: handmade Gnocchi alla Sorrentina and Cannelloni, actually invented in Sorrento, all paired with a local glass of red wine.
As we spot lemons everywhere, we’ll be inspired to visit the town’s oldest limoncello producer, where you’ll witness the process behind this famous liqueur and enjoy a tasting.
We’ll then continue to the elegant Piazza Tasso, where we’ll step away from the busy streets to discover a hidden gem—a family-run shop offering a delightful taste of local cheeses fiordilatte and provola, along with freshly grown Sorrento tomatoes drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and one of the most beloved local dishes, Eggplant Parmigiana.
You’ll also learn about the history and significance of lemons in Sorrento’s culinary traditions, with a stop at a local market to explore some key ingredients together and to try some local Lemon Amaretto cookies.
To round off the tour, we’ll take you to a less touristy part of Sorrento, not far from the central station, where we’ll surprise you with our final Secret Dish.
